| | 11:3 | 於是以色列的長老、都來到希伯崙見大衛王．大衛在希伯崙耶和華面前與他們立約．他們就膏大衛作以色列的王、是照耶和華藉撒母耳所說的話。 | Therefore came all the elders of Israel to the king to Hebron; and David made a covenant with them in Hebron before the LORD; and they anointed David king over Israel, according to the word of the LORD by Samuel. |
| | 11:4 | 大衛和以色列眾人到了耶路撒冷、就是耶布斯．那時耶布斯人住在那裏。 | And David and all Israel went to Jerusalem, which is Jebus; where the Jebusites were, the inhabitants of the land. |
| | 11:5 | 耶布斯人對大衛說、你決不能進這地方。然而大衛攻取錫安的保障、就是大衛的城。 | And the inhabitants of Jebus said to David, Thou shalt not come hither. Nevertheless David took the castle of Zion, which is the city of David. |
| | 11:6 | 大衛說、誰先攻打耶布斯人、必作首領元帥。洗魯雅的兒子約押先上去、就作了元帥。 | And David said, Whosoever smiteth the Jebusites first shall be chief and captain. So Joab the son of Zeruiah went first up, and was chief. |
| | 11:7 | 大衛住在保障裏．所以那保障叫作大衛城。 | And David dwelt in the castle; therefore they called it the city of David. |
| | 11:8 | 大衛又從米羅起、四圍建築城牆、其餘的是約押修理。 | And he built the city round about, even from Millo round about: and Joab repaired the rest of the city. |
| | 11:9 | 大衛日見強盛、因為萬軍之耶和華與他同在。 | So David waxed greater and greater: for the LORD of hosts was with him. |
| | 11:10 | 以下記錄跟隨大衛勇士的首領、就是奮勇幫助他得國、照着耶和華吩咐以色列人的話、與以色列人一同立他作王的。 | These also are the chief of the mighty men whom David had, who strengthened themselves with him in his kingdom, and with all Israel, to make him king, according to the word of the LORD concerning Israel. |
| | 11:11 | 大衛勇士的數目記在下面．哈革摩尼的兒子雅朔班、他是軍長的統領、一時舉槍殺了三百人。 | And this is the number of the mighty men whom David had; Jashobeam, an Hachmonite, the chief of the captains: he lifted up his spear against three hundred slain by him at one time. |
| | 11:12 | 其次是亞合人、朵多的兒子以利亞撒、他是三個勇士裏的一個。 | And after him was Eleazar the son of Dodo, the Ahohite, who was one of the three mighties. |
| | 11:13 | 他從前與大衛在巴斯達閔、非利士人聚集要打仗．那裏有一塊長滿大麥的田、眾民就在非利士人面前逃跑。 | He was with David at Pasdammim, and there the Philistines were gathered together to battle, where was a parcel of ground full of barley; and the people fled from before the Philistines. |
| | 11:14 | 這勇士便站在那田間、擊殺非利士人、救護了那田．耶和華使以色列人大獲全勝。 | And they set themselves in the midst of that parcel, and delivered it, and slew the Philistines; and the LORD saved them by a great deliverance. |
| | 11:15 | 三十個勇士中的三個人下到磐石那裏、進了亞杜蘭洞見大衛．非利士的軍隊在利乏音谷安營。 | Now three of the thirty captains went down to the rock to David, into the cave of Adullam; and the host of the Philistines encamped in the valley of Rephaim. |
| | 11:16 | 那時大衛在山寨、非利士人的防營在伯利恆。 | And David was then in the hold, and the Philistines' garrison was then at Bethlehem. |
| | 11:17 | 大衛渴想、說、甚願有人將伯利恆城門旁、井裏的水打來給我喝。 | And David longed, and said, Oh that one would give me drink of the water of the well of Bethlehem, that is at the gate! |
| | 11:18 | 這三個勇士就闖過非利士人的營盤、從伯利恆城門旁的井裏打水、拿來奉給大衛．他卻不肯喝、將水奠在耶和華面前、 | And the three brake through the host of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Bethlehem, that was by the gate, and took it, and brought it to David: but David would not drink of it, but poured it out to the LORD, |
| | 11:19 | 說、我的 神阿、這三個人冒死去打水．這水好像他們的血一般、我斷不敢喝。如此、大衛不肯喝。這是三個勇士所作的事。 | And said, My God forbid it me, that I should do this thing: shall I drink the blood of these men that have put their lives in jeopardy? for with the jeopardy of their lives they brought it. Therefore he would not drink it. These things did these three mightiest. |
| | 11:20 | 約押的兄弟、亞比篩、是這三個勇士的首領．他舉槍殺了三百人、就在三個勇士裏得了名。 | And Abishai the brother of Joab, he was chief of the three: for lifting up his spear against three hundred, he slew them, and had a name among the three. |
| | 11:21 | 他在這三個勇士裏是最尊貴的、所以作他們的首領．只是不及前三個勇士。 | Of the three, he was more honourable than the two; for he was their captain: howbeit he attained not to the first three. |
| | 11:22 | 有甲薛勇士耶何耶大的兒子比拿雅、行過大能的事、他殺了摩押人亞利伊勒的兩個兒子．又在下雪的時候下坑裏去殺了一個獅子． | Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, the son of a valiant man of Kabzeel, who had done many acts; he slew two lionlike men of Moab: also he went down and slew a lion in a pit in a snowy day. |
| | 11:23 | 又殺了一個埃及人、埃及人身高五肘、手裏拿着槍、槍桿粗如織布的機軸．比拿雅只拿着棍子下去、從埃及人手裏奪過槍來、用那槍將他刺死。 | And he slew an Egyptian, a man of great stature, five cubits high; and in the Egyptian's hand was a spear like a weaver's beam; and he went down to him with a staff, and plucked the spear out of the Egyptian's hand, and slew him with his own spear. |
| | 11:24 | 這是耶何耶大的兒子比拿雅所行的事、就在三個勇士裏得了名。 | These things did Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and had the name among the three mighties. |
| | 11:25 | 他比那三十個勇士都尊貴、只是不及前三個勇士．大衛立他作護衛長。 | Behold, he was honourable among the thirty, but attained not to the first three: and David set him over his guard. |
| | 11:26 | 軍中的勇士、有約押的兄弟亞撒黑、伯利恆人朵多的兒子伊勒哈難、 | Also the valiant men of the armies were, Asahel the brother of Joab, Elhanan the son of Dodo of Bethlehem, |
