| | 2:1 | 約拿在魚腹中禱告耶和華他的 神、 | Then Jonah prayed unto the LORD his God out of the fish's belly, |
| | 2:2 | 說、我遭遇患難求告耶和華、你就應允我．從陰間的深處呼求、你就俯聽我的聲音。 | And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the LORD, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardest my voice. |
| | 2:3 | 你將我投下深淵、就是海的深處．大水環繞我．你的波浪洪濤、都漫過我身。 | For thou hadst cast me into the deep, in the midst of the seas; and the floods compassed me about: all thy billows and thy waves passed over me. |
| | 2:4 | 我說、我從你眼前雖被驅逐、我仍要仰望你的聖殿。 | Then I said, I am cast out of thy sight; yet I will look again toward thy holy temple. |
| | 2:5 | 諸水環繞我、幾乎淹沒我．深淵圍住我、海草纏繞我的頭． | The waters compassed me about, even to the soul: the depth closed me round about, the weeds were wrapped about my head. |
| | 2:6 | 我下到山根．地的門將我永遠關住。耶和華我的 神阿、你卻將我的性命從坑中救出來。 | I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars was about me for ever: yet hast thou brought up my life from corruption, O LORD my God. |
| | 2:7 | 我心在我裏面發昏的時候、我就想念耶和華。我的禱告進入你的聖殿、達到你的面前。 | When my soul fainted within me I remembered the LORD: and my prayer came in unto thee, into thine holy temple. |
| | 2:8 | 那信奉虛無之神的人、離棄憐愛他們的主． | They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy. |
| | 2:9 | 但我必用感謝的聲音獻祭與你．我所許的願、我必償還。救恩出於耶和華。 | But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed. Salvation is of the LORD. |
| | 2:10 | 耶和華吩咐魚、魚就把約拿吐在旱地上。 | And the LORD spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land. |
