|
《彌賽亞(Messiah)》是韓德爾於1742年創作的一部著名神劇。
作者以最虔誠的心情去表達對上帝最誠致的愛和最衷心的讚頌。在技巧上則熟練地以各種演唱、演奏技巧用不同的音響效果，靈活地表現出悲哀、快樂、憤怒和激情等複雜情感，描繪出
對上帝的頌讚，創造了一個無比崇高的境界。
《彌賽亞》共57曲，分三部分。
第一部：「天使報春」
由序曲開始，給人有平安、回家的感覺。韓德爾一開始就用男高音，以宣敘調唱出「你們要安慰，安慰我百姓」。出自舊約以賽亞書40章1至3節。在第一部分中間，他倒述救主的降生，而且把降生的情景，如童女懷孕生子，天使向牧羊人報佳音，牧羊人在曠野等都生動描繪出來，使聽眾如生歷其境。合唱曲「光榮屬於上帝」，以遙遠而輕盈的聲音演唱。隨著樂團齊奏，音樂逐漸增強。女高音獨唱的詠嘆調「放牧羊群」，以優美恬靜著稱。在四聲部交替的合唱聲中，第一部結束了。
第二部：「受難」
以「以賽亞書」及詩篇為主，默想基督代罪羔羊的苦難，和他光榮的復活。
這部份在最為突出的是，女高音所演唱的悲傷詠嘆調和三首哀婉而令人心碎的合唱曲。隨後與其形成對比的是一段女高音簡短的宣敘調，以及一段賦格式的合唱；緊接著的是五個聲部的合唱《醒來吧！》和人們的祈禱曲。結尾曲是韓德爾最著名的作品：《哈利路亞》合唱曲，哈利路亞原意是「將榮耀歸給主，讚美救主」之意，英王第一次聽時大受感動，起立耹聽，因而沿襲至今，聽眾每次聽到此曲都得起立欣賞演出。
第三部：總結
韓德爾說明了救世主對「未來」的拯救。從女高音演唱的活潑詠嘆調《我的救贖主活著》，及以整個樂團伴奏男低音的宣敘調《號角響起了》，然後是充滿藝術魅力賦格曲調。最後是以豐富的節奏，僅以一句話構成的「阿門頌」完成這一部偉大的鉅作。
那首膾炙人口的《哈利路亞》大合唱就出現在第二部分結尾處，講述耶穌被釘死在十字架上的時候。據說當初首演時英王喬治二世聽到這裏也被感動得肅然起立，全場觀
眾也隨之站起，從此成了一個慣例。以後不論在世界各地，每每演唱到這裡人們都不由自主地站起來聆聽這段《哈利路亞》。 |
