| 41:1 | 你能用鱼钩钓上鳄鱼么、能用绳子压下他的舌头么。 | Canst thou draw out leviathan with an hook? or his tongue with a cord which thou lettest down? |
| 41:2 | 你能用绳索穿他的鼻子么、能用钩穿他的腮骨么。 | Canst thou put an hook into his nose? or bore his jaw through with a thorn? |
| 41:3 | 他岂向你连连恳求、说柔和的话么. | Will he make many supplications unto thee? will he speak soft words unto thee? |
| 41:4 | 岂肯与你立约、使你拿他永远作奴仆么。 | Will he make a covenant with thee? wilt thou take him for a servant for ever? |
| 41:5 | 你岂可拿他当雀鸟玩耍么.岂可为你的幼女将他拴住么。 | Wilt thou play with him as with a bird? or wilt thou bind him for thy maidens? |
| 41:6 | 搭伙的渔夫、岂可拿他当货物么、能把他分给商人么。 | Shall the companions make a banquet of him? shall they part him among the merchants? |
| 41:7 | 你能用倒钩枪扎满他的皮、能用鱼叉叉满他的头么。 | Canst thou fill his skin with barbed irons? or his head with fish spears? |
| 41:8 | 你按手在他身上、想与他争战、就不再这样行罢。 | Lay thine hand upon him, remember the battle, do no more. |
| 41:9 | 人指望捉拿他、是徒然的.一见他、岂不丧胆么。 | Behold, the hope of him is in vain: shall not one be cast down even at the sight of him? |
| 41:10 | 没有那么凶猛的人敢惹他.这样、谁能在我面前站立得住呢。 | None is so fierce that dare stir him up: who then is able to stand before me? |
| 41:11 | 谁先给我什么、使我偿还呢、天下万物都是我的。 | Who hath prevented me, that I should repay him? whatsoever is under the whole heaven is mine. |
| 41:12 | 论到鳄鱼的肢体、和其大力、并美好的骨格、我不能缄默不言。 | I will not conceal his parts, nor his power, nor his comely proportion. |
| 41:13 | 谁能剥他的外衣.谁能进他上下牙骨之间呢。 | Who can discover the face of his garment? or who can come to him with his double bridle? |
| 41:14 | 谁能开他的腮颊.他牙齿四围是可畏的。 | Who can open the doors of his face? his teeth are terrible round about. |
| 41:15 | 他以坚固的鳞甲为可夸、紧紧合闭、封得严密。 | His scales are his pride, shut up together as with a close seal. |
| 41:16 | 这鳞甲一一相连、甚至气不得透入其间. | One is so near to another, that no air can come between them. |
| 41:17 | 都是互相联络、胶结不能分离。 | They are joined one to another, they stick together, that they cannot be sundered. |
| 41:18 | 他打喷嚏、就发出光来.他眼睛好像早晨的光线.〔光线原文作眼皮〕 | By his neesings a light doth shine, and his eyes are like the eyelids of the morning. |
| 41:19 | 从他口中发出烧着的火把、与飞迸的火星。 | Out of his mouth go burning lamps, and sparks of fire leap out. |
| 41:20 | 从他鼻孔冒出烟来、如烧开的锅、和点着的芦苇。 | Out of his nostrils goeth smoke, as out of a seething pot or caldron. |
| 41:21 | 他的气点着煤炭、有火焰从他口中发出。 | His breath kindleth coals, and a flame goeth out of his mouth. |
| 41:22 | 他颈项中存着劲力、在他面前的都恐吓蹦跳。 | In his neck remaineth strength, and sorrow is turned into joy before him. |
| 41:23 | 他的肉块互相联络、紧贴其身、不能摇动。 | The flakes of his flesh are joined together: they are firm in themselves; they cannot be moved. |
| 41:24 | 他的心结实如石头、如下磨石那样结实。 | His heart is as firm as a stone; yea, as hard as a piece of the nether millstone. |
| 41:25 | 他一起来、勇士都惊恐.心里慌乱、便都昏迷。 | When he raiseth up himself, the mighty are afraid: by reason of breakings they purify themselves. |
| 41:26 | 人若用刀、用枪、用标枪、用尖枪扎他、都是无用。 | The sword of him that layeth at him cannot hold: the spear, the dart, nor the habergeon. |
| 41:27 | 他以铁为干草、以铜为烂木。 | He esteemeth iron as straw, and brass as rotten wood. |
| 41:28 | 箭不能恐吓他使他逃避、弹石在他看为碎秸。 | The arrow cannot make him flee: slingstones are turned with him into stubble. |
| 41:29 | 棍棒算为禾秸.他嗤笑短枪飕的响声。 | Darts are counted as stubble: he laugheth at the shaking of a spear. |
| 41:30 | 他肚腹下如尖瓦片.他如钉耙经过淤泥。 | Sharp stones are under him: he spreadeth sharp pointed things upon the mire. |
| 41:31 | 他使深渊开滚如锅、使洋海如锅中的膏油。 | He maketh the deep to boil like a pot: he maketh the sea like a pot of ointment. |
| 41:32 | 他行的路随后发光、令人想深渊如同白发。 | He maketh a path to shine after him; one would think the deep to be hoary. |
| 41:33 | 在地上没有像他造的那样无所惧怕. | Upon earth there is not his like, who is made without fear. |
| 41:34 | 凡高大的、他无不藐视、他在骄傲的水族上作王。 | He beholdeth all high things: he is a king over all the children of pride. |
