| | 8:3 | 瑣巴王利合的兒子哈大底謝、往大河去、要奪回他的國權、大衛就攻打他、 | David smote also Hadadezer, the son of Rehob, king of Zobah, as he went to recover his border at the river Euphrates. |
| | 8:4 | 擒拿了他的馬兵一千七百、步兵二萬．將拉戰車的馬砍斷蹄筋、但留下一百輛車的馬。 | And David took from him a thousand chariots, and seven hundred horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen: and David houghed all the chariot horses, but reserved of them for an hundred chariots. |
| | 8:5 | 大馬色的亞蘭人來幫助瑣巴王哈大底謝、大衛就殺了亞蘭人二萬二千。 | And when the Syrians of Damascus came to succour Hadadezer king of Zobah, David slew of the Syrians two and twenty thousand men. |
| | 8:6 | 於是大衛在大馬色的亞蘭地設立防營．亞蘭人就歸服他給他進貢。大衛無論往那裏去、耶和華都使他得勝。 | Then David put garrisons in Syria of Damascus: and the Syrians became servants to David, and brought gifts. And the LORD preserved David whithersoever he went. |
| | 8:7 | 他奪了哈大底謝臣僕所拿的金盾牌、帶到耶路撒冷。 | And David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadadezer, and brought them to Jerusalem. |
| | 8:8 | 大衛王又從屬哈大底謝的比他、和比羅他城中、奪取了許多的銅。 | And from Betah, and from Berothai, cities of Hadadezer, king David took exceeding much brass. |
| | 8:9 | 哈馬王陀以聽見大衛殺敗哈大底謝的全軍、 | When Toi king of Hamath heard that David had smitten all the host of Hadadezer, |
| | 8:10 | 就打發他兒子約蘭去見大衛王、問他的安、為他祝福、因為他殺敗了哈大底謝、原來陀以與哈大底謝常常爭戰。約蘭帶了金銀銅的器皿來。 | Then Toi sent Joram his son unto king David, to salute him, and to bless him, because he had fought against Hadadezer, and smitten him: for Hadadezer had wars with Toi. And Joram brought with him vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and vessels of brass: |
| | 8:11 | 大衛王將這些器皿、和他治服各國所得來的金銀、都分別為聖獻給耶和華． | Which also king David did dedicate unto the LORD, with the silver and gold that he had dedicated of all nations which he subdued; |
| | 8:12 | 就是從亞蘭、摩押、亞捫、非利士、亞瑪力人所得來的、以及從瑣巴王利合的兒子哈大底謝所掠之物。 | Of Syria, and of Moab, and of the children of Ammon, and of the Philistines, and of Amalek, and of the spoil of Hadadezer, son of Rehob, king of Zobah. |
| | 8:13 | 大衛在鹽谷擊殺了亞蘭〔或作以東見詩篇六十篇詩題〕一萬八千人回來、就得了大名。 | And David gat him a name when he returned from smiting of the Syrians in the valley of salt, being eighteen thousand men. |
| | 8:14 | 又在以東全地設立防營．以東人就都歸服大衛。大衛無論往那裏去、耶和華都使他得勝。 | And he put garrisons in Edom; throughout all Edom put he garrisons, and all they of Edom became David's servants. And the LORD preserved David whithersoever he went. |
| | 8:15 | 大衛作以色列眾人的王．又向眾民秉公行義。 | And David reigned over all Israel; and David executed judgment and justice unto all his people. |
| | 8:16 | 洗魯雅的兒子約押作元帥．亞希律的兒子約沙法作史官． | And Joab the son of Zeruiah was over the host; and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was recorder; |
| | 8:17 | 亞希突的兒子撒督、和亞比亞他的兒子亞希米勒、作祭司長、西萊雅作書記． | And Zadok the son of Ahitub, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, were the priests; and Seraiah was the scribe; |
| | 8:18 | 耶何耶大的兒子比拿雅、統轄基利提人、和比利提人、大衛的眾子都作領袖。 | And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over both the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and David's sons were chief rulers. |
